God's gentle whisper came to me at 11 or 12 years old. I was in my bedroom on the third floor with pink walls and a ceramic hand that held pastel balloons. It was my sanctuary while living amid an uncertain and chaotic childhood. I longed for peace and clarity.
I grew up attending church, and having a strong faith was continually stressed. Hopeful, I turned to God. Wondering if he would hear me, I wrote to God in my journal. To my surprise, he wrote back. Yes, sometimes literally, as in "Dear Megan." Other times, my own words would land on the page, producing revelations and aha moments. The whispers calmed my mind and eased my soul, if only for a moment.
I continue to hear God’s Whisper.
They come from various spiritual and everyday practices like those listed below. I will explain each one further in the next post.
Lectio, Visio and Musica Divina
Guided Imagery
Breath Prayer
Meditation
Being in Nature
Places of Worship
Wise Words from Others
In each God’s Whisper post, I will…
Share my whispers from God in short reflections.
Invite you into contemplation by providing a question or prompt.
Offer space for connection where you can share your thoughts.
I intend to send weekly emails containing new posts, but God's timing is not always mine. God's Whisper will come to you as his whispers come to me.
I am so excited you are here!
Let's start listening, reflecting, and connecting to the Divine and one another.
❤️ Megan

Side Note: I am a Christian. I will use names for God, such as Jesus, Lord, Holy Spirit, He, etc.. However, I believe God and his love are more expansive than any one religion. Therefore, ALL are welcome here! Whether you are Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Buddhist, or have no particular religion at all.
Love this Aunt Megan! I’ve been feeling Gods whisper recently as Spirit - through nature, particularly the powerful energy of the wind. I’m looking forward to the ways you experience Gods whisper 🙏🏼
